Homework week 40

What is your favorite song? Why?
I think my favorite song is ”should have gone home” with Måns Zelmerlöw. I like it because I think it´s a good song and I feel happy when I listen to it.

Who is your favorite artist? Why?
I don´t have any favorite artist but I like Måns Zelmerlöw because he sings well and I like his songs.

Has your taste in music changed since you were in the seventh grade? If so, in what way and why?
I don´t know what I listened to in the seventh grade so I don´t know if it has changed.

Do you listen to the lyrics (låttexter)? Are they important? Why/Why not?
I don´t use to listen to the lyrics, but sometimes I do. I don´t know why I do it sometimes and not the other times.

You can grow your intelligence

1 The brain is similar to a muscle, it changes and get stronger when you use it.

2 The nerve cells (neurons) in the brain are connected to other nerve cells in a complicated network. When you learn new things, these connections in the brain multiply and get stronger.

3 The more you challenge your brain to learn, the more you brain cells grow.

4 The key to growing your brain is practice.

5 The more a person learns, the easier it gets to learn new things because their brain ”muscles” have gotten stronger.

Mojo - episode three season two

1. How does it feel to escape the dip? Can you have more than one dip?
It feels nice to escape from a dip, it feels like a relief. You can have a lot of dips. Sometimes you can have dip after dip, and sometimes you can have several dips at the same time.

2. Often we want to be the best at what we are doing. Instead of comparing our success with others, what kind of attitude can we have?
We can have that attitude that we are trying to be better than ourself, that we are competing against
yourself to be better.

3. In the video, Mojomus Edison says that failing is "learning new ways to improve." What does that mean?
That means that if you make mistakes then you have to learn how to fix them, and then you need to improve to make it right again.

Mojo - episode two season two

1. What should you do when you make a mistake?
You should learn from the mistake, so you do not make the same mistake several times. You can also take breaks in what you do to see what you make wrong so you don't do the same mistakes again.

2. What will happen if you continue to repeat this process? Try using the word "neuron" in your explanation!
If you repeat and take breaks then the neurons in your brain is getting stronger and stronger. If you continue to repeat it then you in the end will do it automatically because you are so used to it.

3. So how do we escape the dip?
We escape the dip by learning from our mistakes and by learning how to tackle the problems. We can't let the problems break you, because if the problems break you then you will encounter a dip.

Mojo - episode one season two

1. What is a dip?
A dip is when you think something is to hard, that you aren't good enough.

2. Where/what situations might we encounter a dip in?
It could be a dip if you feel that something is to hard to do, but it can also be if you have to do something you don't want to. That someone maybe force you to do something, then you don't feel that it's funny and then you encounter a dip.

3. What kind of emotions accompany a dip, and how can we stay positive?
A dip make you feel sad, maybe you are angry on yourself because you can't do a special thing and I think you maybe also can feel worthless.
To stay positive we can do things that make us happy, we can keep trying until we fix the problem, you will be happy when you fix it.

Mojo - episode five

1. What does it feel like when something is too challenging? Is it wrong that we feel this way?
When it is to challenging it feels like I'm not good enough to do it. I don't think its wrong to feel so sometimes but its not good to feel like that al the time, then that person must have a really bad self-confidence.

2. What kind of attitude should we take on when facing a challenge, and why is that important?
We should take a determined and focused attitude, and its important that we have that attitude because if we don't have it then we would give up to soon.

3. When taking on a challenge, it's okay to ask for help or to take a break to reflect, like Mojo did! Does this mean we aren't growing our brain anymore?
That doesn't mean that we aren't growing our brain anymore, its okay to ask for help. If you don't ask for help then you maybe doesn't learn anything and that means that our brain aren't growing anymore. And if you take a break you can see whats wrong and you can fix it, because if you're tired you can't see al the mistakes.

Mojo - episode four

1. What are neurons and how do we make connections between our neurons?
Neurons are cells in our brains. We make connections between them when we are challenging our self.

2. Think of an example where you made some new connections in your brain. What were you doing?
One time when I was riding my trainer said that I would jump higher then before and that was a challenge for me.

3. What can you do this week to make some new connections? Set one specific goal.
To make some new connections this week I can start gallop on my horse.

Mojo - Episode three

1. What should you do if you are stuck on a project, math problem, or other learning?
If I were stuck on a project i would ask a friend or a teacher for help.

2. Think of a time you were afraid to ask for help. Why did you feel afraid?
One time when I was somewhere els and I didn't know where I would go. But I was afraid to ask because I didn't know if the person I asked was nice or if that person were a angry or something.

3. Why is the word "yet" so powerful? Think of a "yet" moment in your life and describe it.
The word is powerful because if you say "yet" you mean that maybe I haven't done it "yet" but I would do it later. If you say "yet" it will be like; I can't do it now but I will learn how to do. For example; I haven't learn to read yet but I will do it. Its also an opportunity to do things in the future, its a smal word with great importance.

I don't remember any "yet" moment in my life.

Mojo - episode two

1. What does the quote from the video, "mistakes can make you smarter" mean to you?
Fore me the quote means that if I made a mistake I would learn from them and I wouldn't make them again.

2. How can we learn from our mistakes? Talk about a specific, recent example.
If we are making a mistake we knows that we will not make them again. For example if someone is writing something and spells a word wrong that person would learn how to spell it to the next time.

3. If you were building a robot and kept "failing,” what would you do?
I think that I would be angry because I couldn't fix it, but I think I should keep trying until it was finished.

Mojo - episode one

1. Why does Mojo want to leave school? Can you sometimes relate to how Mojo is feeling?
Mojo wants to leave school because when he doesn't understand the Math he thinks that he's not smart enough to be in school. I can't relate to it.

2. What does Katie say to Mojo to convince him not to leave?
Katie says that everybody can become smarter if they just practice and not give up.

3. Do you think Mojo can become smarter? Why or why not?
Yes, I think that Mojo can become smarter if he practice more. Everybody can become smarter if they practice including Mojo, he should just keep going. He should ask if there is something he doesn't understand.

4. What subject do you feel frustrated by sometimes? Can you see yourself becoming smarter in that subject? How?
Sometimes I feel frustrated in English, but I don't know if I can become smarter in that. One thing I can do to be smarter in English is that I can practice more and not give up even if I think it's to hard.

summary - stonecold week 22

Summary:

LINK: Link was brought, and he thought it was Ginger who had changed his mind and he wanted Link out of his bedroom. He opened his eyes and when his mind cleared he released that it wasn't Ginger, it was the police. It was still dark, and he thought that the police would arrest Link and Ginger or something like that but when they had packed and was on their feet the police went of. Ginger thought the clock was around six.

Link asked him what they should do, and Ginger asked if Link had any moneys. Link told him what he had, and then they went to a all- night kebab house. They bought coffee and then sat they and talked the whole morning. But when all the breakfast- time costumers started drop in and started to give Link and Ginger dirty looks, they decided to leave and go somewhere els.

They walked and walked the whole day, before they came to a church. In the same time they walked Ginger asked people for moneys, some of them just past like we warn't there but the other was nicer and gave us some moneys. When we came to the church Ginger counted the moneys and released that they had enough money to eat cheese rolls to lunch. They eat the cheese rolls in the church.

SHELTER: On his way to inspect theatreland it was two dossers approached him, and asked for change.

Stonecold - Summary week 21

Iv'e been reading from page 36 to page 43.

Summary:

SHELTER: Shelter talks about how easy it is to fall into a pattern. Like killers, their patterns can be which victims they chose, but it can also be which place the killers leave their victims. He says that he tries not to have a pattern but it is unavoidable to not fall into a pattern. It's because he always helps dossers, but he picks out some males and some females.

In this part he helps a girl who has been on a hotel because she needed to go on the toilet. Shelter pretends that he is working at the hotel security. He says that she has to come with him to answer some questions or she can follow him home.

LINK: Link was walking for a long time, looking for a place to sleep. He found a doorway, and it was both deep and unoccupied but he wasn't sure whether he would stay there or not. He thought about what happened before, and he was afraid it would happen again. He thought that if someone would sleep there, that person would have been there at that time. Link decided that he would stay there and sleep. At the same time he wiggled into his sleeping - bag and dropped his head on his pack another man arrived. Link asked him the stupid question; is this your place? The man answered that it wasn't, and he said that they both could sleep there. They asked each other some questions, the other man's name was Ginger. Ginger told Link that if he was really hungry he could smoke because then it would feel better. Link gave Ginger his last Snickers even if he was hungry too.

Stonecold - Summary week 20

I have read from page 31 to page 35.

SUMMARY:

LINK: Link has found a place where he could sleep. The place is in a doorway, and it's a deep doorway so he can sit there without anyone seeing him. He found the doorway around nine o'clock. Around eleven he left the doorway and went looking for a toilet on the station across the way. He went to the station and at the foot of the stairs was a turnstile. He had to pay ten pence to pass. He fished in his pockets to see if he had the money, he had a fifty, two twenties and some coppers but no ten. There was a sort of office so Link went there to see if he could change twenty pence, he called out "hello"! There were no answers, but when he left the office a quite old man came and  accused Link for stealing.
When he came back to "his" doorway there was someone else there. The person who was there stole Link's watch.

Adventures of a backpacker - letter

Hi mum and dad!

I hope everything is fine with you, everything is good with me.

We are in Sydney and I'm sitting on my hotel room. We arrived on Friday, we’ve been here i four days.

On Saturday we went to Bondi Beach and stayed there the whole day. Bondi Beach is the most popular beach in Sydney. It look a little bit like a horseshoe and its about 800 meters long.

We wanted to go shopping so we did it on Sunday and we decided to watch the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the same time. Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the most famous landmarks in Sydney. The bridge connects the shopping district in central Sydney with commercial and residential area of North Shore.

Yesterday we went on a boat trip to see Sydneys opera house. The Sydney opera house is an sculpture of concrete and glass on a 15 meter high platform.

Tomorrow we will go and visit Taronga Zoo. The zoo is located in the suburb of Mosman. We will see a lot of different animals, it will be very funny. Some of the animals is new for me, I didn’t know they existed before I looked at the website. We will for example see tree- kangaroos, wombats, gorillas and different frogs. But we will see a lot of more animals than this. There is about 4000 animals on the zoo and we don't have time to see all of them.

See you soon!

Fakebook - My perfect party

Now I will tell you a little about my perfect party.
It was my birthday party when I was 14 years. We had a big birthday party to celebrate me. Nearly everyone I knew was there, we was nearly two hundred people on the party and it was very fun. For example on guests, Malin Baryard, Heidi and Carolina was there and also the whole olympic team and many more.
We had a lot of different food, like beef and chicken. The guests could eat how much they wanted and they could also take how much drink they wanted.
We had a big stereo and we had music on the whole party, and we danced so much that we was completely tired when the party was over.

That was al about my perfect birthday party.
